Schematic on the Fly - the next version.
See us at SMPTE 2007 for a sneak preview! (Booth E03)
In case you can't make it, below are a few of its new features:
Signals - It is now possible to define what is happening inside a cable. Great for fault finding and makes Schematic on the Fly even more powerful.
Fault Find Assistant - Need to work out how a signal gets from one piece of equipment to another? "Fault Find Assistant" helps you by hiding irrelevant cables and equipment.
Notes - They can be attached to cables, equipment, individually or as a group. Ideal for test/calibration/fault recording.
Equipment - Has undergone substantial changes. Many new fields enabling it to be used for asset management. Abbreviations may be set to make entering equipment into the cable area faster and more consistent. Number of inputs and outputs can be set, warnings will be issued if these are breached. Assorted "find" functions (equipment with incorrect connections, no connections...).
Single and Multiple Views - A large number of changes including: automatic addition of new Signals and Equipment as they are entered, real time display of connection errors (quantity etc), "Jump To" which flips to same cable in the other view, equipment and signal colours are shown.
.....and much more......
Whilst the release date is not finalised it should not be too long!
